Sanatan Vedic Hindu Dharma transcends the conventional definition of religion. It is fundamentally different than the religions like Christianity, Islam, or Judaism, which center on one God, one book and one prophet. Sanatan Dharma embraces pluralism and polytheism, encompassing diverse faiths, beliefs, and worship practices. It recognizes the oneness in all religious paths, supported by a vast corpus of over 10 million texts, including the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Smruti, Darshanas etc.
Sanatan Dharma is a way of life offering complete freedom and independence. Its traditional educational systems, such as Gurukul Education, Family Education and Community Education, differ significantly from those of other religions. Understanding Sanatan Dharma requires studying various sources of literature and scripts, cultures, traditions, and spiritual practices to grasp its holistic and inclusive principles.
